Audience research sounds challenging but it is an essential tool in building your online relationships and your confidence as a communicator.
Audience research is a vital way for us to understand our external communities, whether they are communities of ordinary civilians collaborating with us in our programmes or services, communities of donors, press, government or partners or fellow activists who share a common goal with us. Every one of these communities are our audiences online, and they each have slightly different needs and expectations. This means they all need targeted content and information solutions that meet their needs and propel them to participate with us willingly and wholeheartedly. In the presentation slides below, we look at some important features of audience research.
